While the building served us well through decades of growth and change, we knew it was time to reimagine the space to align with the company we’ve become. A Space with Stories to Tell
Our building has a rich history that dates back to the 1900s when it was home to Pioneer Hosiery Mills. The floors you’ll see today are the same elevated wooden floors seamstresses once stood on, designed to keep their feet warm during long shifts. Hundreds of sewing machines were bolted into place here, and if you look closely, you can still find the marks left behind by the stands.
When Prestige moved into the building in 1970, it became the hub of a growing company focused on wholesaling Lyon Metal products to dealers nationwide. Over the years, as our offerings expanded to include design, sales, installation, and service, we made incremental updates to our building. However, this latest transformation is our most ambitious yet, blending the historic charm of the space with the needs of a modern, full-service storage and material handling company.
Preserving Legacy, Creating Opportunity
Our recent updates allowed us to reimagine our Main Office while preserving its most meaningful elements. The original wooden floors remain a centerpiece of the space, reminding us of the craftsmanship and industry that came before us. We also incorporated the iconic Prestige Sales Company signage, now displayed proudly in our new Experience Center, bridging our company’s legacy with its future.
Beyond these historical touches, we completely transformed the building to better reflect our current operations. We added new offices, a modern conference room, and a dedicated locker room / break area for our installation team. We enhanced the exterior by adding a gated parking lot for employees and an outdoor seating area, offering more space for staff usage and event hosting.
